Many jobs in hospitality, security, and construction require you to complete a government-mandated short course before you can begin working.
In this short article, we’ll walk you through our Study Now and Pay Later service — a fantastic arrangement allowing you to enroll in any of our courses immediately, and then pay when you can afford it. Let’s take a look.
Begin by choosing the NSW short course (or courses) you need to complete. Vigil training currently offers NSW RSA, NSW RCG, first aid, CPR, Construction Industry White Card, and Certificate II in Security Operations.
All our training courses are delivered in our Parramatta classrooms by qualified instructors. Select your preferred dates by clicking the ‘Add to Cart' button and you’ll be transferred to your shopping cart.
If you need to complete more than one course, just click ‘continue shopping’ and add those to the cart as well.
When you’re done, click through to the checkout screen — remembering that increasing your overall spend unlocks more payment options.
PLEASE NOTE: some courses have online modules and assessment tasks that must be completed before attending classes. Please give yourself plenty of time to complete these tasks before the actual training date.
Once you’re in the checkout area you’ll need to enter your full name, address, phone number, and email address. We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) accredited with the Australian government, and these details will be used to issue your official qualification.
Now to the fun stuff. The next screen is where you choose your payment options.
(A) Zip Pay — for amounts up to $1,000 you can select Zip Pay. Zip Pay allows you to pay interest-free always! You will be charged a $7.95 monthly fee, however, this will be waived if you pay your statement closing balance.
(B) Humm - If you're spending under $2,000 on a range of different courses, you can pay through Humm with interest-free Instalments. If you are paying over 5 fortnights, then you will pay no fees! However, if you would like to pay over 10 fortnights, then you can do that with a small monthly fee of $8 per month. You can read more about Humm here.
(C) Quicka Pay — if you’re spending more than $300 on training you can spread your payment over 6 x fortnightly payments. What’s great is Quicka Pay has no credit check, no interest, and no fees. You can read more about Quickapay here.
(D) PayPal Pay in 4— you can also select PayPal Pay in 4 to divide your course fees into 4 x payments. The first payment is due immediately and the remaining 3 payments are due every 2 weeks. You can read more about PayPal Pay in 4 here.
(E) Credit card — use your credit card and pay the full amount upfront.

Once your payment arrangement has been approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email will full details of your course.
Some of our courses (e.g., first aid) have online modules and assessment tasks that must be completed before attending face-to-face classes.
If your course requires an online module, the confirmation email will provide your login details and other instructions.
Now all you have to do is attend your classes. Just refer to your confirmation email for dates, times, directions to our training center, and a list of stuff to bring.
Be sure to arrive early and ready to start your course, on-time.
To receive your nationally recognised course certificate you’ll need to attend all the classes and complete all the assessment tasks.
Your certificate is emailed within 24-48 business hours of completing short courses. Certificates for full qualifications (eg, Certificate II in Security Operations) are emailed within 10 working days.
All that is left for you to do now is follow the payment plan you chose during checkout. These payments will be made direct to the financial institution.
