This course addresses the skills and knowledge for those responsible for stopping and starting traffic in temporary traffic management using a stop/slow bat or boom gate. This program is a good entry point for those wishing to establish themselves into the traffic control/management industry.

No. However, you will need a White Card if you are working as a Traffic Controller on a Construction Site in NSW. We recommend getting the White Card (here).
After you have completed the classroom-based training session and you have been issued your Statement of Completion (SOC), you can work immediately under supervision. After completing the practical assessment, you will be issued the SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training (TCWT) card allowing you to work without supervision. Remember – your SOC is valid for 90 days.
You can control traffic using a stop-slow bat. You can also control traffic using a temporary device, such as a portable boom date.
