Where can a do the Diploma of Security and Risk Management?
Delivery Method – 1: Mixed/ Blended Delivery
Blended learning is the combination of face-to-face class tutorials, self-study, and online learning and project work. Class tutorials: Class tutorials are at six (6) weekly intervals and support the one (1) or two (2) units of competency the candidates are allocated to study during that period. Class tutorials will include: • Training & tuition • Revision • Opportunities for questions, answers and feedback • Training on the next unit(s) of competency scheduled to be studied • Underpinning knowledge assessment • Practical assessment (as required for specified units of competency) Candidate’s contribution: Candidates will be required to complete the following in their own time: • Research and study in accordance with the candidate study guide to meet the requirements of the program • Study and prepare for the underpinning knowledge assessment. This will be completed in a supervised environment, without assistance • Complete and submit the case scenario assessment • Complete and submit the practical assessment (as required for specified units of competency) • Take part in a workplace observation at mutually agreed times arranged with the assessor • Provide supporting documentary evidence for purposes of assessments
Candidates are encouraged to complete the entire program within the recommended Twelve (12) month timeframe. Candidates may discuss completing this program in less time with their Vigil facilitator or staff member. Fee for this program is $2950 (GST Free). Fee paid in two equal installments. First Instalments is paid before commencing the course. The second installment is required to be paid before the last week of classroom based study.

Delivery Method – 2: RPL
Recognition of prior learning means recognition of competencies currently held, regardless of how, when or where the learning occurred. These competencies may be attained through any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experience. Recognition of prior learning is available to candidates who have enough industry experience. Candidates with managerial experience seeking to specialise in Risk Management, security personals with previous management experience, current industry specialists in allied fields i.e. military, police, corrections In order to grant RPL, the assessor must be confident that the candidate is currently competent against the endorsed industry or enterprise competency standards or outcomes, specified in Australian Qualifications Framework accredited courses. A candidate could provide evidence in a variety of forms that include certification, references from past employers, testimonials from clients and work samples. Where the candidate is not able to achieve the full qualification through RPL and gap training is required, a training plan and costing structure will be mutually agreed upon. The basis of the cost structure will be pro-rata on a unit by unit basis based on the scheduled course fee.The fee for RPL process may vary and is GST Free. What are Language Literacy and Numeracy requirements?
Candidates should be able to read and write English at approximately a grade 12 level. Reasonable computer skills and access to email and the internet are strongly recommended.
Are there any prerequisites for this course?
There are no pre-requisites for this qualification. However, to be eligible to enrol in this training program, participants must be over 18 years of age.

What assessment methods are used to assess the competency?
Candidates will be assessed through a range of methods including underpinning Knowledge, Case Scenarios and Workplace Observation
What qualification will be awarded on completion?
The students successfully completing the program will be awarded qualification CPP50611 Diploma of Security and Risk Management with fifteen (12) units in and transcript of record.
You will receive the certificate, record of the result within fifteen working days from the date of completion of the course through the express post.
What is the procedure for credit transfer?
Credit transfer is permitted only if a student attained some units of competency contained in a Course with another RTO.
What other qualifications can I do after this course?
The CPP07 Property services Training Package has imported several units of competency from the BSB07 Business Services Training Package. Vigil has designed this program so that candidates need to complete one (1) additional unit of competency in order to be awarded a BSB51107 Diploma of Management.
